Before each summer you need to decide what you will do if a bushfire threatens. If you live or work in a bushland area you need to PREPARE  your home, family or business and have a plan so you can ACT to make sure you SURVIVE. Download the information sheet here (2MB).

StateAlert delivers emergency warnings direct to you when lives may be in danger in your neighbourhood. It’s run by the State Government and registration is FREE.

All home phones (landlines), including silent numbers, are automatically registered. Mobile phones are automatically registered to the billing address which may be different to where you live. If you're not sure what address your mobile phone is registered to, you should register.

Make sure that if the emergency services need to warn you, they know how to reach you.

Go to    www.statealert.wa.gov.au    to register your details.

A new Fire Danger Rating scheme applies in Western Australia. You need to know what the Fire Danger Rating is and understand what it means. Check today’s Fire Danger Rating for Mundaring Shire here and the SW land division at the Bureau of Meteorology website.

When the Fire Danger Rating is extreme or catastrophic it means that even a well prepared, well constructed and actively defended home may not survive.

WHERE CAN I GET INFORMATION DURING A BUSHFIRE?
